Job Description
The successful candidate will support the design and development activities as part of the Mechanical Controls team on the CPS Program. Primary responsibilities will include the following.
> Develop and coordinate requirements and mechanical interfaces for the controls and ordnance hardware
> Lead mechanical design trade studies
> Develop interface control drawings, source control drawings and details subsystem/component drawings using CREO
> Coordinate with in-house production, outside procurement, subcontractors, and AI&T to develop system level design solutions
> Drive the development and production hardware within cost and schedule constraints
> Demonstrates an exceptional work ethic and is knowledgeable across a broad range of topics in the mechanical engineering discipline
> Possess good process focus and is able to intelligently apply standard processes to real-world applications

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience with CAD software experience Experience with basic Engineering analysis and tolerance stack-ups - Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) - Demonstrated ability to develop details drawings and process through release into EPDM - Demonstrated ability to work within multidisciplinary product development teams -- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance

Desired skills
Understanding of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals including structure design - CAD software experience
Excellent written/communication, presentation and interpersonal skills - Ability to manage multiple assignments and customers simultaneously
Experience with PTC Creo and EPDM - Familiar with design for Manufacturability
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint)
