Job Description
This position will support Lockheed Martin’s Space Pulsar team including mobile, virtual (VR) and augmented reality (AR) development focused on Classified content. The candidate will be using a show controller system to perform editing to create immersive shows for the Classified Pulsar center. The ideal candidate will have experience in 3D Tools (MODO, MAYA, MAX, etc.) and have the ability to create high-quality, realistic space hardware, environments and textured 3D assets that are production ready and optimized for maximize performance. Excellent communication and collaborative skills are required; the candidate will work closely with programmers to implement art assets efficiently and allow for rapid iteration of application design and aesthetics.
Basic Qualifications
•2 plus years of experience in polygon modeling, texturing, and animation for real-time development.
•Experience with non-linear editing software such as Adobe After Effects and Premier.
•Able to work creatively with in a group.
•The ability to interface with all levels of customers, including executive leadership.
Desired skills
•Working knowledge of a 3d modeling package such as MODO, Max or Maya.
•Familiar with CAD data and conversion to create optimized polygon meshes.
•An understanding of Physically-Based Rendering (PBR) textures and shaders.
•Ability to create textures using tools such as Substance Painter, Photoshop and Illustrator.
•Experience integrating assets into a real-time engine such as Unity or Unreal.
•Ability to development non-linear scripts for story driven presentations.
•Experience working with desktop, mobile and VR/AR applications.
•Ability to create large multi-screen presentations with industry standard show controllers such as Pandora.
•Solid background in traditional arts included but not limited to painting, illustration, design or traditional media.
•Basic understanding of programing language.
