Manager of SBIRS Mission Control Station (MCS) Satellite Systems Engineer (SSE) Team, reporting to MCS/CLS Chief Ops Engineer, providing real-time satellite operations and engineering support for the SBIRS program.

You will lead a team supporting the SBIRS MCS operational facility located at Buckley AFB in Aurora, CO, with L-Code duties (performance, hiring, scheduling, training, compliance, etc.) for approximately 19 LM personnel and varying number of subcontractors.

Provide daily technical direction and leadership, as well as being responsible for HR leadership and budget supervision.

Provide on-call support to IRTs and SAWGs as shared with SSE day-staff members.

Achieve and maintain on-shift SSE technical qualification and ops proficiency as a GEO/HEO SSE for real-time operations, and perform 24x7 on-shift responsibilities as required to perform the mission and to maintain proficiency.

Specifically, the on-shift SSE provides real time, 24x7 operational support for the SBIRS satellite systems, both bus and sensor, ensuring safety and functionality of the spacecraft; monitor telemetry, monitor limit thresholds, and provide bus expertise and guidance during scheduled and unscheduled commanding.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
