The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition role falls within the Global Talent Acquisition organization that leads recruitment, hiring operations & on-boarding activities across various lines of businesses and over 40 locations for Lockheed Martin Space. A true Center of Excellence, your goal is to provide leadership for the enterprise in the area of talent acquisition inclusive of recruitment at all levels from campus to senior executives and enterprise-wide (global) projects, programs, and partnerships.
In this role, you will lead a geographically dispersed team of close to 75 consisting of four managers, 70 recruiters, sourcers and coordinators with responsibility for filling close to 6,000 positions annually. Additionally, you will:

• Develop and execute the LM Space experienced professional hiring plan for 2019 and beyond
• Mentor a workforce of TA practitioners and leaders to help transform our culture to be talent advisors with the business
• Drive continuous improvement in recruiter productivity, time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, diversity, etc.
• Explore market trends in attracting external talent and implement as appropriate
• Execute a diversity strategy to increase women, minority and veteran talent
• Identify creative solutions to maximize applicant pools and increase throughput
• Partner with our Recruitment Marketing Lead to develop and deliver strategic sourcing & marketing plans for diverse talent and critical skill segments
• Partner with our Human Capital Analysts to develop reporting and insights that show the value we bring to the business (sourcing effectiveness, aging requisitions, candidate quality, time-to-fill)
• Play a key role in the continued growth of the employee referral program
• Effectively build and execute action plans based on manager and candidate satisfaction survey results
• Manage the quality, productivity and compliance with internal policies, EEO/diversity policies, as well as federal and state employment and labor laws

BUT IT WON’T BE EASY
• Majority of our hiring demand consists of engineering talent with security clearance requirements
• You will need to bring a mixture of strong leadership, relationship management, operational savvy, data acumen, motivation and energy
• The Space culture is heavily weighted toward “data” vs. intuition
• Portion of our business is in services where many challenges exist with pay structures and supply of external talent
• OFCCP regulations weigh heavily on our processes
• Actively track business objectives, validate recruitment strategies, and develop business specific strategies when the need arises
• Serve as the organization liaison for enterprise-wide committees, working groups and projects
• Participate in multiple diversity and inclusion activities

Basic Qualifications
• Prior demonstrated recruitment and/or human resources leadership experience.
• Progressive experience leading a recruitment operation and/or team of recruiters and/or HR professionals
• Proven competence leading recruiting results in a deadline driven, complex and high requisition volume environment
• Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing successful, creative, and forward-thinking diverse recruitment and sourcing strategies
• Proven ability to persuade and influence management, executives and key decision makers on the direction of the function.
• Ability to lead and motivate a geographically dispersed team
• Proven communication skills which include the ability to speak, write and listen in a manner that clarifies issues, promotes closure, and delivers information in a clear and concise manner and facilitates decision-making.

Desired skills
• Strategic workforce planning & change management experience
• Previous experience in a service focused organization of comparable size and complexity of Lockheed Martin Space to include hiring and recruiting against security clearance requirements
• Knowledge of Lockheed Martin organization structure, services as well as understanding of Lockheed Martin common job classifications and salary structure
• Experience analyzing and reporting on recruiting metrics
• Knowledge of Department of Labor compliance related to nondiscrimination/ affirmative action laws and regulations
• Passion for the latest recruitment technology and talent marketing
• A strong commitment to delivering top-level customer service
• Excellent presentation, team building and interpersonal skills
• Envision the future state and set appropriate direction
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic applicant tracking systems (ATS)
