The Sustainment and Modernization of Radar Sensors (SMORS) team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a BMEWS/PAVE PAWS (BPP) Systems Analyst (SA) based out of Colorado Springs, CO.

 

What You'll get to Do:

 

The BPP SA will support the BPP Lead Analyst and be responsible for conducting analyses of the BPP weapon system Technical Performance Measures (TPMs) for both mission and system level requirements. Duties will include tracking, analyzing, and reporting on the performance measures, generating formal reports, and providing reports and presentations to the BPP weapon system stakeholders and frequent technical interchanges, as well as conducting impact analyses of planned system modifications.


The SA will perform statistical analyses on large scale, ground based radar's system and mission technical performance measures. These measures include system parameters such as system availability, reliability, and maintainability which the analyst will evaluate, conduct statistical analyses and provide system performance predictions. In addition, the SA will conduct mission analyses which include Space surveillance sensor accuracy and response and Missile Warning/Defense tracking, messaging, launch and impact point data as part of their role and responsibility.

Qualifications

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 5 Years relevant experience with Bachelors in a STEM field; 3 Years relevant experience with a Masters in a STEM field; 0 Years with PhD in a STEM field.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or above
  • Basic knowledge of ground systems space and missile warning missions
  • Ability to travel on occasion to customer locations

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • System knowledge of ground based phased array radar
  • Experience and knowledge of the BPP sensor
  • Comprehensive experience in conducting BPP systems level performance analyses
  • Strong statistical background
  • Understanding of orbital mechanics
  • Experience with model-based systems engineering
