TheThreat Modeling Center (TMC) team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) islooking for you to join our team as a Sr.Principal Systems Engineer basedout of SchrieverAir Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colorado.


WhatYou'll Get to Do:


The Threat Modeling Center is responsible for the development anddelivery of high fidelity threat modeling products in support of the MissileDefense Agency (MDA) and MDA's Ballistic Missile Defense System.  This position is for a Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) Lead with experience in Agile Systems Engineering development, Model Based SystemsEngineering and an understanding of Modeling and Simulation.


Key Activities:

  • Shape evolution of all aspects systemsengineering rigor, cyber security, and user experience

  • Develop current and future systemarchitecture and act as primary technical point of contact for customerinteraction

  • Work with the Scrum Teams to ensurethat the overall system architecture implementation meets the requirements forperformance, scalability, standardization, etc.

  • Produce complex technical briefings, documentation andpresentations to customers within established deadlines.

  • Support TMC Engineering Manager and Product Line Lead with varietyof technical management tasks including process development, metrics analysis,training and maturing the team, cost estimation and planning, and strategicforecasting

  • Lead development of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models,DoDAF and SysML artifacts, conceptual designs, and acceptability criteria forthe TMC applications.



Qualifications

You'll Bring These Qualifications: 

  • 9 Years of applicable experience with a Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Master; 4 Years of experience with Ph.D. At least one BS or higher degree needs to be in a relevant STEM discipline

  • Active Final DoD Secret clearance

  • Experience in support of broad phases of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle

  • Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies

  • Strong Systems Engineering background; at least 4 years of relevant experience in a systems engineering capacity

  • Experience in Agile software development

  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodology and tools, and SysML methods

 These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Understanding of use and development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S)

  • Excellent time management, schedule estimation, and delegation skills

  • Experience with descriptive modeling and architecture description

  • Ability to work independently and in groups equally well; must be a self-starter

  • Knowledge of software design and performance in IT infrastructures, networks and cloud solutions
  • CompTIA Security

  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodology and tools (PTC Integrity Modeler) and SysML methods

  • Knowledge of the flight characteristics, motion, atmospheric dynamics, and missile performance parameters necessary to model ballistic missiles is highly desirable

  • Experience with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence)

  • Must possess good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Strong math, physics or engineering background is preferred
  • Understanding of Modeling and Simulation of ballistic missile systems

  • Current DoD Top Secret clearance

  • Ability to obtain SCI clearance
