Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Revenue Specialist follows established practices, policies and guidelines to generate all invoicing; assists in month-end process of verifying charges, and assist in verifying missed revenue to meet to department and company objectives.

The Revenue Specialist demonstrates and adheres to the company values of safety, honesty, ownership, respect and teamwork to ensure successful partnership with customers and employees that result in OmniTRAX’s continued success.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the Director of Revenue on daily, weekly, mid-month and month-end regarding invoicing
  • Monitor estimates for car hire and ensure reports are downloaded for accounting
  • Review and verify all revenue
  • Work with team to streamline billing process; identify continuous process improvements
  • Upload invoices into portals
  • Create and send out all invoices to customers
  • Validate charges, and create mid-month and end-of-month summaries for all railroads
  • Work with appropriate internal departments to research and ensure accurate invoicing; research documents on disputed invoices
  • Understand and apply contract language to invoicing
  • Understand Real Estate contracts; review sales orders related to Real Estate to create accurate invoicing
  • Understand tariff and apply accurately to invoicing

OTHER DUTIES

  • Backfill Car Repair Specialist role, as needed
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience
  • High attention to detail, organized and multi-task to perform accurate timely work
  • Basic mathematic skills
  • Research and analytical skills; identify discrepancies and correct invoicing
  • Knowledge of contract language
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effectively converse with all levels of the company
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Professional integrity and accountability
  • Work in fast-paced, collaborative environment

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Previous experience in Rail Transportation, Supply Chain Logistics, Manufacturing and/or Oil and Gas industries
  • 1-2 year’s applicable experience
  • Experience working with NetSuite and Railcar Management Inc. (RMI)
