Job Description

Regular Faculty work under the direction of their respective Associate Dean/Division Dean and are responsible for meeting all scheduled classes/labs/clinics and providing instruction in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the College and the Department Chair's approved course outline. Regular Faculty are also responsible for using teaching methods and media designed to reach students of varying educational and experiential backgrounds to allow each student the opportunity to master the objectives of the course.

Applicants must be able and willing to teach evening and weekend courses at multiple campus locations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Emergency Medical Services or related field.
  • Current Nationally Registered Paramedic or ability to obtain Colorado Paramedic certification within 60 days of hire.
  • One of experience teaching in Emergency Medical Services.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Emergency Medical Services or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Two or more years of teaching experience at a community college, hospital, or fire department.
  • Demonstrated experience in instructional methodology, curriculum design and program planning.
  • Experience in program assessment
  • Demonstrate certification as an American Heart Association Instructor in Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support and Pediatric Life Support.
  • Demonstrated completion of the Colorado State Instructor Series

Salary is $2,968.75 gross per month from January 2019 to August 2019. Beginning September 2019, the salary is $3,958.33 gross per month.

The required teaching schedule is January 2019 to May 2019. The required pay schedule is January 2019 to August 2019. Beginning August 2019, the required teaching schedule will be August 2019 to May 2020 with the required pay schedule from September 2019 to August 2020.
