Job Description

The Region Channel Manager will lead a team directly responsible for the management of Channel execution activities within Square D's Western Sales Region.  This individual will play an integral role in developing detailed operational strategies in coordination with the Region Sales Vice President, Channel Strategy, Product Management, Marketing, Digital Customer Experience, and other key stakeholders.  Operational strategies will include all facets of business planning, deploying national/local promotions, training, and inventory planning.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and strengthen relationships at key distributors to capitalize on sales and services synergies, leverage operational efficiencies and assure profitable partnerships
  • Create joint growth-orientated business strategies with distributors based on market intelligence and in-depth channel market analysis.  Gain agreement, establishing measures of performance to drive mutual accountability
  • Provide leadership within SquareD for distribution partners. Ensure quality and responsiveness for all of the services provided, and continually strive to improve with the aim of offering a “superior ease of doing business experience”
  • Create Regional plans for distributor competency development, resource utilization and program execution
  • Function as subject matter expert for Channel Sales,Operations and Marketing assisting in the development of policies, tools, programs and best practices
  • Create and execute channel strategies to drive SquareD's market share growth, including plans in support of acquisition sales and distributor conversions
  • Facilitate regular interlocks with Key Account team, Regional Sales VP, Area sales resources,  and other key stakeholders
  • Directly manage, coach and develop team of Channel Sales Engineers
  • Actively engage with industry associations and/or organizations (e.g.NAED)


  • Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years experience, including proven account management and channel strategy development expertise
  • Distributor marketing skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to thrive in a matrixed organization
  • Passion to lead and develop a team
  • Highly motivated with a change agent mentality
