About Us:
Sound Advice Careers was created specifically to help our clients in two ways:

  1. Find work that they love and can enjoy
  2. Teach them how to play the game of finding work in today’s market
We take a three-pronged approach in helping our clients (job seekers). We do this through
  1. Document creation: Master Resume, Networking Resumes, Job-specific Resume, Customized Cover Letters, Professional Bios, and LinkedIn Profile Updates
  2. Strategy: We have created online courses to teach our clients how to play the game of finding work and how to ace the interview.
  3. Coaching & Consulting: Through goal setting and action planning sessions we help our clients in the following ways:
    • Prepare for the interview: Phone, video, panel, group interview.
    • Define and articulate their USP (unique selling proposition).
    • Be a sounding board to help talk and think things through.
Our comprehensive and holistic approach has been extremely well received by the market. As such we are looking to grow our team.
Required Skills/Experience: 
  • Must have at least 4 years of recruiting experience in one or more of the following:
    • Contract Consulting
    • Permanent Placement
    • Project Management / Business Analysis 
  • Must have at least 4 years of contract and full-time recruiting experience in one or more of the following vertical markets:
    •  Financial Services
    •  Information Technology
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience working with and understanding the following types of candidates (who they are, what they do, how they work, where they fit into the scheme of things):
    • Agile/Scrum professionals in support of product development (Scrum Masters)
    • Project and/or Program Managers
    • Business Analysts
    •  Quality Assurance (QA) Analysts
    •  User Interface (UI) Designers and Engineers
    • Software (SW) Developers/ Engineers
    • Database Administration (DBA)
  • Proven recruitment skills with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets/goals
  • Proven ability to:
    • Search internal/external databases 
    • Sourcing/Create strong pipelines of available Candidates
    • Post the position on internal/external job boards 
    • Engage in resume mining on major job boards and use alternate recruiting methods to find Candidates (such as blogs, user groups, networking websites etc.)
    • Add resumes/contact info/ notes to the database
    • Screen / Format resumes
    • Cold calling Candidates
    • Phone-screen (interview) Candidates
    • Communicate feedback to Account Manager(s) 
    • Assist in resume submittal to the client
    • Active recruiting by searching job boards/user groups/posting ads
    • Coordinate interviews
    • Closing Candidates
    • Developing personal networking strategies
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system (ATS), preferably Salesforce
  • Passionate and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Must be energetic, highly motivated, and have the ability to communicate with Candidates in an articulate & professional manner
  • Must be self-directed, highly responsive, & detail oriented in completing assigned tasks w/minimal supervision
  • Must be able to demonstrate persistence, tenacity, ability to overcome obstacles, and strive to improve skills and achieve goals
  • Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire to close positions in a very competitive and fast-paced environment
  • Good leadership skills and the ability to work independently
  • Must be a team player and work well with others
  • Ability to work effectively within a team 
  • Ability to manage multiple client requirements and deliver excellent customer service
  • Demonstrated track record of consistent performance and attention to details

Bachelor’s degree a strong plus
