South Metro Fire Rescue serves approximately 76 square miles in Arapahoe and Douglas Counties. Our service area includes most of the Denver Tech Center and Inverness, Centennial Airport and the Park Meadows Mall. We provide fire and emergency medical services to the cities of Cherry Hills Village , Greenwood Village and Lone Tree , as well as portions of the city of Centennial. Communities we serve in Douglas County include Castle Pines Village, Castle Pines North, Surrey Ridge, Beverly Hills, McArthur Ranch, Daniels Gate, Happy Canyon and Louviers.
Our Division of Life Safety provides plan review and code enforcement for new and existing commercial buildings. Our public educators also offer fire and life safety education classes for schools and businesses, including fire warden and fire extinguisher training.
South Metro Fire Rescue consists of more than 230 men and women dedicated to providing quality emergency services to the people who live, work and travel through our service area.
At South Metro Fire Rescue...our people are our greatest asset. Responding to the many needs of the employees of the South Metro Fire Rescue District is a key responsibility for the Human Resources Division. The Division coordinates the District's formal employee recruitment programs, the annual compensation plan update and employee benefit programs. The Division also oversees the firefighter cadet recruitment, testing and selection process.
