Part Time Day Camp Aid

- Job Summary
The Day Camp Aid is responsible for assisting Day Camp Director and Counselors in supervising a variety of age appropriate recreational activities in a licensed child care setting.
- Job Requirements
Must be at least 16 years of age with some schooling. CPR/ First Aid Certification and Universal Precaution, or the ability to obtain upon hire is required. Must have verifiable experience with school- age children.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be highly motivated and take direction well with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of child care programming; recreation and its application; safety and emergency first-aid procedures; program management; customer service principles; and budget management. The ability to successfully: establish and maintain safe environments for children; perform first aid and/or CPR in an emergency situation; work evenings and weekends; work productively without supervision within established organizational policies and procedures; provide superior customer service and resolve customer complaints and escalated problems; and effectively manage employees and budgets. Skilled in: lifesaving procedures and instruction; recruiting, supervising, training, evaluating and motivating employees.
A combination of education and experience may be considered. The ability to successfully complete a background check including and not limited to criminal history search is required.

Work Hours: This is a variable hour position. Please note weekly work hours will vary. Summer runs May 20-August 17 at Goodson Recreation Center, Lone Tree Recreation Center and Family Sports Center.
