DIRECTOR-OIL SCHEDULING (PXP) PRIMARY PURPOSE: 

 

To ensure the safe, efficient transport and delivery of TGE customers’ crude through our systems. To ensure the accurate and optimum scheduling of multiple interstate crude oil pipeline systems by directing the team responsible for customer order fulfillment via the scheduling process. Responsible for the operational performance of the company assets by securing optimal operation at all times with a full understanding of the customer contracts and tariffs.

 

 

DIRECTOR-OIL SCHEDULING (PXP) ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

•Must ensure that Tallgrass’ systems and processes for scheduling, monitoring, and control of the pipeline systems are fully operational and being utilized properly.

 

•Will confirm that operators are continually providing timely, efficient, reliable and “as expected” volumes and pressures at all receipt and delivery points.

 

•Must maintain a strong understanding of the contracts on the systems.

 

•Complex problem solving essential in multiple complex oil pipeline systems with multiple grades/receipt points and delivery points.

 

•Responsible for building a strong, motivated and service-oriented scheduling team.

 

•Responsible for developing and maintaining professional relationships with both internal and external clients-OCC/Accounting/Measurement.

 

•Verify that the team is responding accurately and timely to customer inquiries concerning pipeline operations and the tariff. Establish strong, healthy relationships with customers.

 

•Communicating, working with and providing timely data with Oil Accounting and its imbedded team.

 

•Ensure that contractual rights as defined by the tariff are maintained, end-of-the-month closing responsibilities are complete and the reconciliation and resolutions for operational issues are correct.

 

•Ensure timely & accurate scheduling of the Tallgrass crude oil interstate pipeline systems using the Synthesis System.

 

•Manage the team that provides scheduling support seven (7) days per week during industry specified cycle time frames.

 

•Coordinate customer requested flow orders from the scheduling process with physical system capabilities as determined by OCC to optimize system throughput and therefore, company revenue and customer satisfaction.

 

•Ensure that the team is responding accurately and timely to customer inquiries concerning scheduling, Synthesis and the Tallgrass tariffs. •Ensure that Tallgrass’ systems and processes for nomination submission, scheduling, confirmation and allocations are accurate, fully operational and being utilized properly.

 

•Provide operators timely, efficient, reliable and “as expected” quantities at all receipt and delivery points.

 

•Ensure ongoing improvement through evaluation of current processes.

 

•Accomplishment of performance goals in line with the company’s long-term and short-term objectives.

 

•Demonstrate and enforce the highest professional integrity, ethics and safety discipline.

 

•Ensure that end-of-the-month closing responsibilities are timely and accurate.

 

•Demonstrate and reinforce a culture of regulatory compliance.

 

•Foster a positive open work environment, systems approaches and disciplined execution of all assigned tasks.

 

•Manage personnel related matters, including providing performance-based feedback, providing support and completing administrative paperwork as needed.

•Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and a consistently high level of performance.

 

•With 24x7 operations, will work non-traditional hours in addition to standard workday.

DIRECTOR-OIL SCHEDULING (PXP) JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

 

EDUCATION:

 

•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business, Engineering or a related discipline. 

 

 

EXPERIENCE/SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:

 

•A minimum of seven (7) years of liquids control experience, plus a minimum of five (5) years liquids scheduling experience.

 

•A minimum of five (5) years’ experience with direct people management. 

 

•Strong IT experience and proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. Synthesis accounting and Emerson experience highly preferred.

 

 

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS:

 

 •Must possess & maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).

WORKING CONDITIONS:

 

•Required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.

 

•The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including credit report for certain positions, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, & ABILITIES (above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position):

 

•Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Business, Engineering or a related discipline.

 

•Ten (10) years of natural gas/liquid control and scheduling experience is preferred.
