This position will be responsible for supporting measurement, compression, automation and general pipeline engineering design related tasks.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
•Strong attention to detail in composing, drafting, proofing and distributing drawing packages incl. associated / material lists.
•Strong knowledge of Tallgrass Engineering Standards, (Civil, Structural, mechanical/process piping, electrical and Instrumentation).
•Demonstrated experience with mechanical and process piping preferred.
•Support and lead various Engineering design, project management and project documentation efforts.
•Maintenance of drawings database per company standards.
•Develops drawings of various disciplines: Plot plans, P&IDs, PFD’s, orthographic, isometric, etc.
•Utilizes the latest versions of AutoCAD related products.
•Proficient in creating 3D models and drawing sets with CADWorx 3D Plant or equivalent modeling software.
•Piping specification library creation/maintenance per company standards.
•Conducts quality control reviews of drawings, drawing packages, and material lists in accordance to company standards.
•Coordinate between customers, engineering firms and internal resources to communicate and enforce company drafting/design standards and verify compliance.
•Understands material nomenclature, specifications and symbols for P&IDs, Piping, Structural, Electrical etc.
•Develops BOM/material lists for project drawings.
•Proficiency in NavisWorx 3D.
•Development of as-built drawings from field redlines.
•Experience with raster editing software.
•Determine, document and enforce best methods for xref/attachment and layer conventions.
•Deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism.
•Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills and listen carefully.
•Maintain a regular, 18dependable attendance and a consistently high level of performance.
•Will work non-traditional hours as needed.
•Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
•Other daily, weekly, monthly or special project duties as identified and defined.
•Responsible for developing piping design administrative and technical practices, specifications, and procedures.
•Create layouts/designs utilizing company specifications, standard drawings, design instructions, plot plan, flow diagrams, line lists and supplier information.
•Provide internal and external design/engineering support.
•Willingness to learn and seek out new opportunities, meet people and challenges with an open mind to solve larger issues.
•Ability to take on work that is not defined or fully developed.
•Generate rough sketches, or schematics to develop engineering concepts into visual designs.
•Coordinate and participate in P& ID walkthroughs, design reviews, site inspections, and progress meetings.
•Comprehensive working knowledge of company standards, practices and procedures including pipe specifications.
•Knowledge of industry codes/standards not limited to B31.4, B31.8, B31.3 and ASME.
•Initiates and approves the development of project specific piping standards and specifications. (Senior).
•Responsible for developing piping design administrative and technical practices, specifications, and procedures. (Senior)
•Represents piping design in meetings with suppliers, subcontractors, licensors, clients, and other Company disciplines, and produces documentation required for conference or meeting notes. (Senior)
•Review project specifications, administrative and technical practices, design instructions, plot plan, flow diagrams, and supplier information (Senior)
•Provide training and CAD support to internal piping designers and drafters. (Senior)
•Provide a central focus for CAD within the project piping group. Interface with client CAD counterparts. (Senior)
•Assist in scheduling, determining work station needs, and forecasting CAD related costs and estimates. Monitors station utilization and forecasts deviations from workstation plan. (Senior)
•A minimum of five (5) years direct work experience in Design or Drafting may be considered as a substitute for a degree.
•Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in CADWorx 3D.
•Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
•Intermediate proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
•Proficient in Industry Codes and standards.
Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:
•Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).

•The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including credit report for certain positions, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related discipline.
•Experience developing/designing drawing packages for compressor stations, measurement stations and pipeline appurtenances for natural gas and crude oil facilities.
•Experience specifying pipeline appurtenances such as pipe, valves, flanges, fittings, etc.
