JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for leading product life cycle and development initiatives for our Spectrum WiFi  services and applications. This role will  focus on defining cross-functional requirements and developing Charter’s Product to enhance the customer experience of our Spectrum Mobile service to meet  evolving customer needs and business opportunities.  This role will assume leadership in ad hoc cross-functional team building and input gathering and will be at the center of a fast paced, highly visible effort. The role will report to the Director of Product Management but will operate in a highly matrixed environment with numerous key stakeholders.
 
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the Spectrum Mobile customer experience on Spectrum’s wireless networks.
  • Define and drive the development, launch, and ongoing improvement of Spectrum WiFi and wireless customer experiences for Spectrum Mobile customers, Spectrum Internet customers, free users, roaming users, and prepaid customers. 
  • Define strategy and implementation for initial connection experience, profile delivery, and overall usability experience including Passpoint, 802.1x, Hotspot 2.0, captive portal, and Mobile .
  • Own the customer experience and drive the development of KPIs, tools, and processes needed to ensure our customers have an excellent experience on Spectrum WiFi and our wireless networks and maximize offload for Spectrum Mobile.
  • Clear and consistent communication with sponsors and stakeholders including product analysis and presentations, product documentation and education and responsibility to represent the product throughout the organization.
  • Deep understanding of industry best practices in product development process specific to the cable or  telecommunications space and translate appropriate steps for unique organization and market position.
  • Collaborative information gathering to translate high level process goals into specific sub-processes with appropriate documentation.
  • Develop communication plan for stakeholders and process participants.
  • Proactively identify analysis to support the effort and conduct with deep analytics when appropriate while maintaining an eye toward the bigger picture.
  • Support the development and communication of Product Strategies dependent on new services/features to drive financial results. Work with engineering, operations, product management peers, marketing stakeholders and key market areas to develop and implement the road-map of Spectrum WiFi features.
  • Lead content and product launches and enhancements of products across Charter’s service and application portfolio,  including working cross-functionally with Corporate Engineering, Corporate and Field Marketing and Field Engineering.
  • Assemble, examine, refine, validate, document, maintain, and summarize complex data for several product initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and generate documentation related to process improvement, product lifecycle management, or product development.
  • Facilitate and present business process change with stakeholders in other departments; works with stakeholders to support the integration of new products and services, regulatory requirements, tools, technologies and markets into existing operations.
  • Analyze and understand inter-dependencies and business risks which could impact the delivery of new Charter products, services, processes, and or support technologies.

Education
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Master's degree preferred, but not required

5-7 years of Product Management and/or Product Development Experience Required, preferably Telecommunications
