JOB SUMMARY
The VP, Facilities Operations and Administration will serve as a key member of the Corporate Services leadership team and will lead an experienced team of corporate and regional facilities management professionals. Our portfolio consists of approximately 25 million square feet and nearly 4000 properties, ranging in size, scale, complexity, and primary use. Our corporate facilities teams are responsible for any / all facilities-related activities within our four (4) corporate markets, while our regional facilities management leaders serve as strategic, expert partners to our regional business leaders and dominant tenant facility management resources.
 
 
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
 
Streamline, standardize, and evolve our corporate facilities management service offering across our four (4) corporate markets, to deliver an efficient and dynamic workplace experience.
 
Evolve our facilities management standards and processes to ensure that our properties are being managed proactively, effectively, and economically – ensure that our regional facilities management leaders are positioned as thought leaders and subject matter experts to our business unit stakeholders.
 
Refine and implement clear and concise role and responsibility thresholds for our regional facilities management leaders, enhancing their position as subject matter experts for our regional business partners.
 
Serve as a primary conduit between regional business leaders and Corporate Services to maintain seamless connections between our business and portfolio strategies, goals, and objective.
 
Attract, retain, and mentor a highly effective, knowledgeable, and dedicated staff of regional and corporate facilities management leaders and team members.
 
Develop and implement facility assessment platform to provide clarity on opportunities, risks, and areas warranting attention.
 
Create and publish routine portfolio-level dashboards and reports to key stakeholders which effectively communicate the condition, risks, and achievements of our locations.
 
Consistently explore and contribute Facilities Management expertise to other verticals where we can further engage and partner to add value to the organization (i.e., Energy Cost Management, Environmental Health and Safety).
 
Partner closely with Business Unit leadership and their Business Planning resources to understand, anticipate and plan for changing business needs and goals, and to help prioritize capital planning.
 
Heavily engage with other Corporate Services functions (Portfolio Planning, Transaction Management, and Project Management) to create comprehensive portfolio plans which align with our business objectives and Corporate Service's strategic roadmap.
 
Expand visibility into complex and opaque operational and financial details, such as Total Cost of Occupancy, in order to be a more effective strategic advisor.
 
Partner closely with Procurement, business leaders, and regional contacts to optimize vendor network in order to ensure optimal service levels while leveraging our economies of scale.
 
Participate closely with our Finance partners to ensure that project costs and budgets are timely, accurate, and managed.
 
Provide the creativity, vision, and motivation to deliver best-in-class workplace experiences
Foster a culture of consistency, accountability and continuous improvement.
 
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Expert-level knowledge of all aspects of Facilities Management – engineering, construction, preventative and corrective maintenance, house services, and site services
Proficient financial capabilities, specifically focused on budget, cost estimation, and life-cycle financial analyses
Excellent preparation, analysis, and presentation skills delivered to Executive-level audience
Proven success leading geographically dispersed teams with varying degrees of ownership and accountability
Strong strategic planning skills in a fast-paced and high-performing organization
Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and leading through influence
Communicate effectively across all levels of a complex corporate environment
Significant expertise with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and CAFM applications
Foster a culture of continuous improvement
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
Expertise across Corporate Services verticals: Transaction Management, Portfolio Planning, Workplace Strategy, and Portfolio Administration
Passionate and effective in team builder, fostering inclusion, accountability, and creating a culture of collaboration


Education
Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration / Finance
