Land Development Construction Manager - TRI Pointe Homes (Denver)

This job will provide oversight to single or multiple locations as may be warranted due to company business plan goals and needs, and as land acquisition fluctuates.
Priorities will be placed on installation of land improvements to support model building schedule. It is more than likely that an accelerated schedule will be required to obtain paving to support vertical construction as required by the local jurisdiction. In addition to site related duties, interface with the master developer, multiple jurisdictions, RWQCB/SWPPP/WQMP, consultant team and Land Development Manager will be required. Reports direct to Land Development Manager, but reports out to PM, VP of Operations and other TRI Pointe team members as required from time to time to insure timely and accurate completion of all improvements.
Will assist in the preparation of scopes and report discrepancies in the existing scopes of work, plans, and will work diligently to resolve with the TPH team to minimize costs and delays. Will be involved in pre-construction meetings and schedule development. Will work on multiple sites as may be needed.
Bond exoneration, including walks with local agency, preparation and completion of punch lists, completion of as-builts, and hand off to project management.
Assist in budget preparation as may be required to support land acquisition – whether on a current site or future site.
Will update schedules on assigned sites on a weekly basis and will do his utmost to attain schedules and keep team informed of delays that would impact model or production home starts and or occupancies.
Will complete landscape improvements up to and including common areas, recreation areas and special site amenities as required to support new home deliveries.
Will be expected to cover large geographical area as may be warranted to support land development needs. Geographical area may be changed from time to time as active communities and land acquisition warrants with no notice.
Will support land acquisition budget preparation as required to identify costs and to support due diligence efforts.
Will oversee sites only at this time and will have no personnel management within TPH.

- Five plus years of progressive field experience in residential land development
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is preferred, but not required
- P.E. licensure is preferred, but not required
- Strong multitasking, time management, teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills
