Position Summary


Reporting to the NorthAmerican Site Technology Manager, this position will handle a variety of tasksassociated with the Desktop Operations and Video Engineering departments.


Primary Responsibilitiesand Duties


* Assist Desktop Staffwith configurations, installations and ongoing upkeep of desktops, laptops,peripheral equipment and software as per our standards and guidelines

* Update and maintainnew and old inventory associated with Desktop Operations and Video Engineering

* Decommission ofobsolete and/or broken equipment as required using internal processes

* Assist with VideoMeeting setups, testing and event functions as required - this will includesetting up our Mobile Video Unit as requested

* Assist with thetesting and deployment of new applications and systems for Desktop Operations

* Work Tier I ticketsassociated with Desktop Operations and Video Engineering via our internalticketing system

* Help organize andmaintain both Desktop and Video Lab environments and storage areas

* Assist with the cablemanagement of all conference rooms

* Assist with assettagging equipment in accordance to policy

* Follow up on warrantyservice calls for broken equipment

* Performs other relatedfunctions as assigned by the immediate manager with a moderate level ofsupervision


Knowledge and Skills


* Ability to clearlycommunicate technical concepts to non-technical people, Global Teams andManagement

* Ability to recognize,analyze, and effectively solve basic problems in a timely and organized manner

* Ability to multi-taskin a fast-paced environment

* Must be self-motivated

* Basic understanding ofvarious Microsoft Office Operating Systems and products (i.e. Word, Excel,PowerPoint, etc.)

* Ability to create andmaintain various forms of documentation

* Must possess provenproblem solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectivelyread, write and give oral presentations

* Interact withemployees, customers and colleagues effectively on a professional-level

* Must be able to workat heights and lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds

* Basic knowledge ofnetworking and related services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)


Experience and Education


* Associate or Bachelordegree in electronics or closely related degree, networking, or equivalentexperience preferred

* 1-3 years of desktopsupport experience preferred

* 1-3 years of videoconferencing experience preferred

* Basic experience withsetup, configuration, troubleshooting of desktop/laptop hardware and software(Windows and Mac OS)

* Basic experience withWindows and Mac OS desktops/laptops, as well as Android, and iOS devices in anetworked or lab environment

* Proficiency with MSOffice (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, etc)

* Basic understanding ofMicrosoft products/systems and their administration

* Basic understanding ofApple Mac products/systems and their administration
