You will work with a highly collaborative team in an Agile environment embracing a "fail-fast" mentality (fail fast, fail often, react quickly and learn from every failure). You will engage with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Technology Architects, and Automation team members on cross-functional activities to design, develop, and test cutting-edge software solutions.

You will be responsible for working on a team to develop new software products, implement modern design principles and concepts, resolve complex technical problems, and provide solutions which are innovative and ingenious.

ULA Job Description:
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.

External Additional Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
  • 2+ years of hands on related work experience
  • Experience with Unix-based operating systems
  • Experience with object-oriented designs and languages
  • Experience with Software Configuration Management practices and tools such as Git, SVN or Perforce
  • Embraces Lean-Agile development (Scrum/SAFe/XP) and shared design philosophy
  • Experience with core web technologies (ex.  HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, client/server)
  • Experience with Databases


External Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience with Test Driven Development and Behaviors Driven Development along with associated tools (e.g. pyUnit, Google Test/Mock, Cucumber)
  • Experience with Python programming
  • Experience with Java programming
  • Experience with JavaScript programming
  • Experience with Altassian products (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo) and JFrog Artifactory
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment


Functional Job Description
