Job Description
United Launch Alliance is hiring a Technical Support Rep N2 in Centennial, CO!

The Technical Support Rep N2 will performs a variety of duties in the electrical, electronic, communications, and telemetry fields. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, installs, configures, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed. Supports system testing and configuration.

External Additional Requirements
  • Associate’s degree or two years of electrical technician experience in lieu of degree
  • 1 year of experience directly related to the work assignment
  • Electrical Low Voltage Controls, Electronic, Communication and/or Telemetry technician experience in aerospace or aircraft industry
  • Ability to receive direction from technical staff
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self-motivated, team player willing to adapt within a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to work overtime, to include extended shifts and weekends


External Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with the following electrical technician tasks
  • Assemble/modify equipment cabinets and racks and communications cabling experience a plus
  • Experience with data transport systems (voice communication, data, telemetry)
  • Experience with troubleshooting systems
  • Maintain inventory of labs systems
  • Supports Denver to launch site voice communications systems by installing, operating, and maintaining voice over IP network circuits and equipment
  • Build and/or modify hardware using machine shop equipment (e.g. drill press, grinding wheel, band saw)
  • Operational knowledge of telemetry and voice communications equipment


Functional Job Description

The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close –vision and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is typical of most office environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises.

Mental Functions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and in writing and use interpersonal skills. The employee is regularly required to prioritize, multitask, analyze, interpret, coordinate, compile, evaluate, synthesize, compute, problem solve, concentrate, and think critically. The employee is occasionally required to copy, instruct, and negotiate.

Judgment and Decision-Making: Work is regularly assigned by self, supervisor, and departmental staff. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to exercise prudent judgment, decision making, and analytical skills to determine manner and operational steps necessary to properly handle inquiries and perform daily tasks within professional standards. Decision making is guided by ULA policies and procedures.
