NOTE: Hours will vary. The job type of this position is relief (substitute).
Assistant: High School Diploma or GED; Experience relating to small children and interacting with adults from diverse backgrounds. Associate Teacher I or II: Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field and ECT qualified by the State of Colorado. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required for Associate I and II. Head Start Lead: Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field and ECT qualified by the State of Colorado. Good organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to lead teach or team teach. Professional and courteous to all at all times.
Works with classroom teacher in planning, organizing, implementing and delivering a preschool education program based on the individual child’s and group’s intellectual, physical, social and emotional needs. Serves meals in accordance with state, local and program procedures and regulations. Teams with the assigned teacher in managing the classroom environment, provides input, observation and assessment of program participants and interacts with parents and family services staff as a part of the early childhood development component.
