    POSITION: Crossing Guards & Crossing Guard Substitutes – Weld County School District Re-8, Fort Lupton Schools (on call/as needed)

    SALARY: $11.38 per hour - Up to two hours per day

    QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
    • Desire to teach, model, encourage and manage students, parents and staff in an outdoor setting
    • Speaking -- Talking loudly to others to convey information effectively.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required
    • Desire to learn in a fast paced, organized environment with students and parents
    • Evident of successful working experience with school age children required – must like students and being involved in an engaging school environment.
    • Direct or escort pedestrians across streets, stopping traffic as necessary.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
    • Position is on-call/as needed on school days, per the Weld County School District Re-8 School Calendar
    • No smoking is allowed in any Weld County School District Re 8 buildings.
    • Selected applicant must comply with the District's Drug-Free Workplace policy
    • As required by the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA), the selected applicant must verify, within 72 hours of employment, his/her legal right to be employed in the United States.
