    This Director level role with our Information Technology team oversees the Sales & Marketing Technology operated and managed by Xanterra for all of its properties and operational locations. It also serves as the IT Product Owner for several areas including, but not limited to, the organization’s Customer Data Platform (CDP), Revenue Management, company websites, the Contact Center platform, and Reservations. This individual plans, organizes, and coordinates evaluations of marketing technologies, acquisition of support systems, implementation of marketing initiatives, and contracts for service and support of marketing applications. They will work directly with the Marketing Leadership Team and others in the Sales & Marketing areas on both the development and implementation of solutions needed by this segment of the organization. The team member will also work in conjunction with the subsidiary Marketing and Technology leadership to develop goals, strategies, and tactics for the technology platforms and infrastructure used throughout the organization.



    • Serves as IT Product Owner for all Sales & Marketing technology solutions provided by Xanterra Information Technology, collaborates on necessary business case and funding justifications for these products, and works with various members of the Xanterra Leadership Team to verify the necessary portfolio of products is being provided to fulfill the Company’s business needs. Works with other IT Leadership on the design, development, maintenance and support for integration between the various Sales & Marketing systems and the various Operational Systems. This includes technology ownership (including strategy, delivery, support, and vendor management) of:
      • CDP and its enterprise use
      • Core Reservations Platform capability; including strategic support of all other Reservation capabilities
      • Core Revenue Management used by Xanterra; including strategic support of all other Revenue Management capabilities
      • Core Websites supporting Sales & Marketing; and strategic support of related sites
      • Core Contact Center capabilities including the implementation of the contact center as a service (CCaaS)
    • Works in conjunction with subsidiary Marketing and Technology leadership and IT Leadership Team to develop short-term plans and long-range goals, strategies, and tactics for the technology platforms and infrastructure used throughout the organization.
    • Works in conjunction with the IT Leadership Team to formulate implementation plans and schedules that meet the requirements of business units, property level organizations, and the corporate management team.
    • Works in conjunction with the IT Leadership Team to formulate technology and related standards to be followed by all business units and assist in verifying that all standards are followed.
    • Responsible for monitoring technology industry trends to provide input on initiatives appropriate for our business model.
    • Evaluates and monitors vendor service and product performance to ensure proper availability and reliability.
    • Serves as liaison for third party development partners needed to develop any Xanterra-selected software needs not available from established software providers. While working with these partners, this individual is responsible for project management, systems analysis, specification writing, and other tasks needed to help facilitate the completion of a successful development project.
    • Provide support and assistance to the Xanterra Incident Response Team as needed and requested.
    • Serves in an on-call capacity for after-hours/non-business hours support if assigned by the Chief Information Officer.


    • Maintains test and training hardware/software capability for the major central server corporate systems.
    • Works in conjunction with the Chief Information Officer to establish/enforce corporate policy for corporate system software licensing.
    • Serves as a technical advisor the Technology Leadership Team.
    • Provide support and assistance to the Xanterra Incident Response Team as needed and requested.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    • This position responsible for the direct supervision 3-6 staff; plus several vendors who provide much of the core delivery and support responsibilities.



    • 10+ years of experience in Information Systems and Technology of IT experience
    • 5+ years in Information Systems and Technology project and team leadership role
    • 5+ years in Digital/ Web
    • 4+ years in some combination of Reservations and Contact Center capabilities
    • Project Management skilled
    • Vendor Management skilled


    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
    • Background in hospitality; including hotels, restaurants, cruise lines, and/or group travel Information Technology
    • Solutions Architecture experience
    • Revenue Management capability

    • Physical demands: While performing the duties of this position, standing, stooping and bending regularly is required, as well as the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
    • Work environment: May be exposed to unusual temperature ranges (both cool and hot). Minimal travel outside the corporate office may be required. Must be able to be on location or accessible via remote connectivity technology within a 30 minute time period in the event of an emergency.
