Marketing Business Analyst

This position will work to create scalable processes that ensure best practices across the lifecycle/life story of a Young Life “contact”, and conduct complex data analyses that will be used to inform strategic decisions by stakeholders from across the organization.
Manage technical aspects of key marketing systems (Marketing Automation, CRM, and Events Management software) used to generate, distribute, and report on revenue, contacts, and overall campaign effectiveness
Collaborate with the core Marketing team and other internal (Project Management Office, Project Leadership Team, Development, Communications, Alumni, etc) and local field constituents (globally) to execute CRM strategies, including customer journeys and ongoing nurturing
Establish and maintain scalable processes that ensure best practices in campaign and contact management
Create and maintain metrics reports on marketing activities, effectiveness, and business impact.
Analyze crosscutting data to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization
Monitor and maintain data quality within the marketing database (Marketing Cloud, aka Exact Target)
Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize team performance
Continually enhance customer experiences using Salesforce.com and Marketing Cloud automation (or similar solutions)
Understand business process management and business requirements of the customers and translate them to specific requirements.
Act as a bridge in translation of technical issues with project stakeholders and development teams.
Assist in process design, strategy and implementation sessions, including documentation and execution activities.
Lead, arrange and facilitate Agile ceremonies including, Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives, Grooming, and Sprint & Release planning.
Lead or participate in the change management process.
Persuasive, encouraging, tenacious, motivating and tactful when working with various team members, upper management and on politically sensitive tasks/projects.
High degree of interaction and coordination at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical skills (including mastery of Microsoft and G suite) and experience with reporting and data analysis.
Strong facilitative, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment.
Technically capable, excellent communicator, and a desire to improve processes and work cross-functionally.
Creative and strategic thinker, with exceptional attention to detail
Office environment (remote will be considered)
BA/BS or equivalent working experience
Salesforce Advanced Admin and/or Marketing Cloud certification desired.
Experience Required For The Job:
Proficiency in marketing enterprise automation systems and integrating those systems with other technologies.
Understand and establish ongoing connections between Marketing Automation software and primary CRM
Salesforce.com, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (aka Exact Target) experience and certifications preferred
Experience in implementing omni-channel Marketing Automation programs (email, direct mail, SMS, Push, Marketing Cloud Text (SMS), Push Notifications, social, etc)
Specific experience in Marketing Cloud Journey Builder preferred
1-3 years (minimum) working in Salesforce and Marketing Cloud automation (or like solutions)
Previous experience/involvement in Young Life or a large non-profit a plus.
Solid working knowledge of current technologies.
Strong written, interpersonal and oral communication skills.
Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
